Intimate Waxing

For your first wax, the hair ideally needs to be about 1cm in length which is usually 2-3 weeks growth after shaving.  The longer the better because when you shave the hairs can get really tough and stubborn so it is best that the wax has plenty to grab on to.  After waxing though the hair doesn’t need to be as long for the second time as the hairs will be finer and weaker so we can wax hairs as short as a few millimetres.

No need to trim, we can sort it all out for you. Trimming can sometimes leave the hairs too short so best off leaving it to us so that you get the best results.

Hair is constantly growing so it depends on your natural growth pattern. Usually it takes around 3-6 weeks. However, not all hairs reappear at the same rate so you may see some regrowth quicker than this. These hairs were growing below the skin at the time of the wax so couldn’t be pulled out. We recommend that after your first wax, you have a second wax quite soon after to get rid of the “inbetweeinie” hairs so that we can try and get all hairs on the same growth cycle.

For best results, we recommend a wax every 4-6 weeks. It takes around 4 treatments to get the hairs all on the same growth cycle so regular waxing not only gets less painful each time but also begins to last longer.

Follow our aftercare advice carefully and exfoliate 3 times a week religiously! And moisturise every day – it may seem like a chore, but it is worth it to keep ingrown hairs at bay. You can also use lotions or treatments that contain tea tree to help reduce the risk of blocked pores.

It’s ok for the wax to still go ahead if you are comfortable with it. It’s really common so just pop a fresh tampon in before you come and try to tuck the string in as much as you can.  It’s totally up to you, we are used to it either way.

If you’ve not been waxed before and you have a special event coming up we would always advise you to get as many waxes in before as you can. This is so you allow plenty of time to see how your skin responds and what the regrowth is like as the hair will get finer the more you do it. Some times you can get better and longer lasting results by your second or third wax so we recommend planning a wax in every 5 weeks up to your event if you can and then have your final wax just a couple of days before.

Not as much as you expect. Yes you will feel some discomfort as the hair is being removed from the root but if you stick with waxing regularly (every 4-6 weeks) the treatment becomes a lot easier and quicker.  We use hot wax for all sensitive areas to minimise discomfort and use a special technique to take the sting away.  It may smart a little but it fades instantly and ALL our clients always say it’s never as bad as they thought it was going to be.

For intimate waxing yes.  Think of it this way, you wouldn’t go for a hair cut with a hat on would you? We totally understand this might feel a bit uncomfortable but please remember it is what we see all day every day and we are professionals.  All we focus on is the hair to be removed and get straight on with it along with making sure you feel super comfortable.
